Urban Decay AMMO review and look

Today I am going to share with you this adorable little palette by Urban Decay called AMMO.
This product is available at My Beauty Addiction for $20.

This palette consists of 10 shimmery shadows
that I think would be perfect for subtle to dramatic looks.

It is a lot smaller then some of the other palettes they make and
is alot more light weight, it is about the size of my hand.
It's more of a compact then a palette to me.
It has a velvet feel to package design and
comes with a mirror and sponge eyeshadow applicator blush.
I also like that it has a magnetic closure as well.

I swatched these shadows using the UD primer potion as my base. As you can see they are all very shimmery and more on the neutral side. This would be a great palette to use for weddings because it can look great on all skin tones. I really love each shade and a little bit goes a long way.
I truly like this palette quite a bit, this is a great little shimmer palette that
will easily fit into my makeup case or purse.

For my eye look I used the AMMO compact shades:
Smog/Mildew/Oil Slick/Sin/Polyester Bride

I also used some other great My Beauty Addiction products:
Goddess Bronzer
Fantasy Dazzle Dust
#6 Powder Honey

On my lips: Wet N Wild lipstick 914A

Urban Decay SMOKED palette Look & Review

Today I tried out the Urban Decay SMOKED palette from MY BEAUTY ADDICTION.
On the website it states that this is a replica item, but it was extremely hard to tell the difference.
The quality is definately there and you get a lot out of this kit for the great price of only $28.

You get:
Zippered Palette with the 10 eyeshadow shades
Mirror
Eyeshadow Primer Potion (squeeze tube)
Perversion 25/7 Glide-On eye pencil
"How to Look" book with 11 look tutorials and information on brushes, how to prep your face,
and tricks for common makeup problems

These 10 shadows are 4 mattes and 6 shimmer shades.
This palette can give you a huge variety of smoked looks. The shades are wonderful alone or blend well together no matter which shades you put chose.

I swatched each shade using the enclosed Primer Potion as the base. The base itself is wonderful and well-loved by many makeup artists and tends to be a must-have primer. I really like the squeezed tube. The color of the primer is a skin tone and blends so easily.
Each shade was swatched using my finger with just one swipe. The shades can be darker by layering the color. I was pleasantly surprised how pigmenented and vibrant they are.
ALL equally GORGEOUS! The eye pencil Perversion that came with the palette was also a wonderful pencil. I've tried so many pencils and this is probably the best pencil I have ever touched.
I love the pointy tip and the color wasn't overly black.
It was easy to layer and make the desired color depth I was looking for
without making those 'racoon' eyes, that most pencils tend to give.

This is my look using this palette, I went for a softer smoked look today.
I used the primer potion as my base and the shadows:
Kinky, Freestyle, Backdoor, Blackout, and Barlust
I used the pencil as well.
On my lips I used Coral Crush lipstick by My Beauty Addiction

Overall I love this palette and everything that came with it. It's a great product!
Please check out the website for this product and other amazing products.

2013 Spring Pantone Inspired EYESHADOW Collection

I am so excited to share this NEW eyeshadow collection from My Beauty Addiction. It is inspired by the spring Pantone shades for this season's fashion 2013. You can purchase the shadows individually or as a collection. I would definately just get the whole collection, it is so worth it. They are a great variety of shades to compliment any skin tone and can be worn demure or dramatic.
Shop: http://mybeautyaddiction.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=16_213

I really love the whole collection, each shadow brings its own punch or can be easily blended to create a wide array of looks and will go amazily with my spring wardrobe. It inspires so many ideas for spring photoshoots and will go great with the spring weddings and special occasions as well.

Here are my descriptions of the shadows:
Dusk Blue- shimmery light "denim" blue

Tender Shoots- bright "spring" green, very vibrant

Lemon Zest- bright and fun shimmery medium yellow, very vibrant

Grayed Jade- semi matte grayed light green with a hint of shimmer

Linen- fresh shimmery light pink shade

Monaco Blue- semi matte dark blue shade with a just enough shimmer

Africian Violet- Shimmery light purple, just the purple you need for spring

Poppy Red- shimmery burnt red shade

Nectarine- Shimmery light orange shade

Emerald- Medium green with plenty of shimmer

My swatches of the shadows are on a clear base. They look great over
a mutliple array of base colors and look great wet as well as dry.
I LOVE them all and they are actually identicial color matches to the website photo of the products. It's always nice to see exactly what you are getting and thats what you get with these.

I used the shadow poxy as the clear base:

Wednesday Blue Period

Everyday is a painting and today I used the blues.
Even though blue is usually connected to feeling of sad or depressed,
I want to reinvent the thought because I feel rather happy
like on a dark blue rainy day when you actually get a chance to sleep to the sound of the rain,
thats a good blue.
Also seeing the blue in the sky and ocean,
another blunt hope of the endless opportunies you can create.
It makes me feel happy, today I'm blue. :)

Nails: Sinful Colors- Savage and OPI Katy Perry

Makeup:
My Beauty Addiction-
Shadows- White Diamonds, Aquadise, Champ, Navy, I.Q., Snapple
Shadow Poxy
Goddess Bronzer
Bare Lipstick
Buff Lil Puckers

It was a beautiful day for blue. :)

LG Images - My journey of photography

After quitting my job at a professional photography studio, over the past few months I kind of have honestly been missing the whole photo shoot experience and the process of transforming someone. I was shooting people outdoors but since this weather has gotten chilly, it has put me in a rut until now. When I started working there I was asked if I thought I could be a photographer and really didn’t believe I was one. I always took photos of everything and everyone but never really thought this is the trade I want to do. Besides that I didn’t want the photographer to think I was there to learn photography and actually she kind of pushed me in that direction. I just wanted to be a team, be the makeup/hair/fashion person. All of that obviously didn’t work out but in a way it did. It made me realize I have a hidden talent for photography and this was a way for me to combine my skills.

This is my first time setting up a studio in my home and actually shooting someone using backdrops and props. I got a lot of experience shooting them and at my computer editing as well. In photography I find it an endless way to create art and with every shot there is always something new to learn. For a couple months there I thought I needed to wait to even try to shoot someone until I have a better camera, better space, better this and that but looked at what I have and used it the best way I know.  The thought in the back of my mind was, “God can’t bless you with more if you don’t use what He has already given you”, that was enough motivation for me. I took the time to find everything around my home to use clothes, back drops, created hair pieces and props, etc.

I’m really proud of myself for doing this and see this as a start of more work to come. I’m having so much fun and love the direction my work is going. I recently was asked if I would like to have my work published and achieved my first magazine publication. It’s all a blessing and I am so excited to see where this can go. I have also been inquired about my prices and will have a price list available on FB and this blog soon. I invite you to see what I have been up too. You can view all my shoots on the Facebook page: www.facebook.com/lgimagesartstudio
