Glamorized: Shelly

Shelly stopped by and got glamorized. I did a fall look with a fun updo.
She is so gorgeous, I think she thought so too.

For her eyes I used My Beauty Addiction
mineral shadows: Anemone, Gaia, and Bright Charteuse

For her cheeks I used My Beauty Addiction Spiced Apricot Mineral Blush
Lips are My Beauty Addiction Twinkling Silver and Glamazon Sugar Babies lip glazes

For her updo, I just winged it with my design and it came out so pretty.

Here are a few of her pictures. The rest can be found on my photography page on Facebook

Glamorized: Joy

Joy, 29, is a mother who needed a pick me up.
She participated in my makeover today.
I believe indeed she loved her look, she looked stunning!!

I used Graphite Moon, a purpley gray sparkly shadow and played up the
drama with a bold lip as well. She is 29 after all, time for fun.
I used My Beauty Addiction for this look
Halo, Graphite Moon Mineral Shadows
Spiced Apricot Blush
VIPink Lipgloss pot
A photograph for my photography album.
This looks great when she wears glasses as well.

Her hair was fine and curly. Using my straighten, I smoothed the hair but left curls on the ends with a few loose ringlets to create waves. I teased at the roots to create a bit of volume.
 Gorgeous hair!

Check out more of her pictures on my photography page on Facebook

My first Zombie look

I've never created a zombie look before and was super excited to do this today and then realized I didn't have exactly what was needed. I made due with something I find just a satisfactory for a temporary look. I invite you to check out my video to see how I created this SCARY ZOMBIE look.

In about 30 minutes I am about to watch The Walking Dead.. I love watching it for the makeup, gore, and dramatic and well written scenes. That show inspired me to FINALLY create a zombie look. Everyone has their own way and you can definatly go all out doing this.

This look took me a little under 20 minutes to create. Imagine the possibilites. Play with skin tone, the degree of "age" and "rot" the zombie has. The more time you take the better it will look.

I really liked using what I used in the video instead of latex or gelatin. It's easy to get, easy to handle, and affordable to mess up with. Check out my SCARY pictures. :)

My Fall Hair: Burgandy Black Hair with Sweet Ruby Highlights

I love trying new cuts and colors and my hair definately needed an update for fall. I decided to go with a lovely shade of Burgandy Black mixed with Sweet Ruby.

Everytime I use a burgandy shade it seems to fade after a couple of washes and I lose that lovely purple tone. I tried this new product I discovered recently for those with naturally dark hair. My hair is coarse and thick, with naturally brown black shade.

As you might know, I color and style my hair a lot, this color worked very well and at only the cost of $3.99!! The color saturated my roots to my ends leaving a vibrant and noticable burgandy black tone that I expected. I colored my dark brown dyed hair!

I wanted to add something a little different so I bleached a few sections of my hair and applied Sweet Ruby from Splat to add the desired effect I was going for. This product works very easily and quickly. It costs between $7.99 and $12.99, you can find sales and coupons. I like Splat, it lasts long and gives great color payout. I want to try all their colors.
My final results, I need to condtion it but you get the idea. :)

I love it for now <3

COVERGIRL Fall Look and OUTLAST Lipstick Test

Covergirl was one of my first loves in makeup, vibrant colors of lips, eyes, and cheeks, face products and mascaras.. everything. I used to love those little pressed powder compacts, they were a staple in purse growing up.

Today I got out a really great little quad from them called Drama Eyes. You get four shades, white, black, silver, and burgandy. They are very vibrant or can be used very lightly. I went for a more dramatic look because it it of coarse called Drama Eyes.

I absolutly love this blush called Iced Cappicino. I wish there was a huge palette of this blush. I should glue a bunch together on one of my crazy crafty days.. hahha! Anyways, It is perfect and my favorite shade from them. Even though I love all the cheekers. I'm a collector of these.

I always hear about Covergirl Outlast lipstick, I of coarse needed a lippie too so this was perfect to test. It comes in a little box and my shade is #625 Sunkissed. It has two tubes, one lip conditioner/primer and the other a glossy stain. Intresting combo, I like to always prime my lips before applying lippies anyhow so I gave this a go.

I DO NOT like this product, it kept fading instantly and felt like paint on my lips. You know the gooey semi dried paint you get on the lid of the can of house paint, thats exactly what it looked like and felt like coming off my lips. It was very hard to get off as well, so it does have staying power in spots. It is a bit pricey too BUT I did get mine off the clearance rack for $3.00 it's usually around $9 -$11 dollars. Now I know why. It's not worth it, you get a little bit of crappy product for way to much of money. I know my pictures may look ok but I hate the way my lips look it was hard to get  picture without layering on tons of the product. I will never use it again. Trashed.

Covergirl FAIL! product> Outlast Lipsticks>

Here is what I had to literally scrub off my lips, it felt so gross.
I'll stick to the regular lipsticks they carry from now on.

Here is my look I ended up with,  I love the shadows and blush in this look for my new hair color. I love that the shade of burgandy in the palette was a perfect match for my brow color and gave me the desired color for my brows. :)

Poison Ivy Makeup and Costume

Ahhh... Poison Ivy, one of my most requested cosplay/character tutorials. I came up with a beautiful modern makeup look inspired by and for this character using some gorgeous shadows and lips from My Beauty Addiction.

I created the costume with everyday things in my home, a couple crafting tools, a red wig and shoes. Very simple and fun! This costume is more sexy but you can do the same kind of idea with any piece of clothing you feel comfortable in, just remember the key pieces, ivy and red. :)

That was fun! Here are some pictures.
